If your name is on the payment tab, you owe money, look across the columns for your fees owed.

If your name is NOT on the waivers tab, you need to turn in your waiver, see info below.

 

1.  2011 WAIVERS -- NOW

• Not sure if you've sent your waiver?  Check the "2011 Waivers"  tab.  If your name is NOT on the list, you need to send your waiver NOW!
• We are in serious danger for loosing our practice time slots for 2011!
• So if you don't want to be practicing at 7:00 AM on the weekends, send your waiver NOW!
• Note: change attached waiver file extension to "pdf"
• Please fill out waiver completely

2.  2010 YEAR END PARTY -- 12/4

• We are only a week away!
• If you have not paid your fees, do so NOW
• Email Denise for mailing address
• There will be auctions and raffles, please bring cash/check if you want to bid
• There will be cash bar, so bring cash
• Please arrive at 5:30 PM if you could help with set up
• Please arrive no later than 6:30 PM, dinner starts at 7:15 PM promptly

 

3.  PRACTICE

• Time to start getting ready for next year!
• Practice to resume next Saturday, 12/4

4.  NAPLES BOAT PARADE -- 12/11

• This year's parade will be Saturday 12/11
• Interested decorators/paddlers email Blanca
• There is a decorators meeting this weekend, contact Blanca
• Spaces limited -- 1 boat only, so act NOW

 

5.  ROSE PARADE FLOAT DECORATION -- 12/26

• Take part in this coming New Year's Day Rose Parade!
• Help decoration China Airline's float
• 12/26: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (note that you are NOT required to stay all day)
• This is the last week to RSVP

• We're helping to decorate China Airline's Rose Parade Float this year

• This year's theme: Holidays on the Island
• We are entering 1 boat this year, spaces limited

Rose Parade Float Volunteers Wanted!

The SCDBC has been invited to help work on China Airlines' Rose Parade float which, this year will showcase dragon boats and some of our SCDBC paddlers have been chosen to ride on this float.


We will need your responses quickly as spaces are filling up. Minimum age is 11 years old - available times/days are as follows:

SUN December 26th
8:30am - 5:30pm 1st shift
11:00am - 8:00pm 2nd shift
 
MON December 27th
8:30am - 5:30pm 1st shift
12:00am - 9:00pm 2nd shift

***FULL***TUES December 28th
***FULL***8:30am - 5:30pm 1st shift
***FULL***2:00pm - 11:00pm 2nd shift

WED December 29th
8:30am – 5:30pm 1st shift

• It's almost that time of year again - our annual Space Ripple Ski/Snowboarding Trip!!
  This is a poll to see who's interested and what dates are available for everyone.
  And to make things extra sweet - we may be going to Tahoe!!!
  So please pick your date availabilities and answer the questions on the polls!

4.  CHINA AIRLINES DRAGONBOAT ROSE PARADE FLOAT

•  China Airlines is looking for MALE paddlers to ride on their 2011 Rose Parade float
•  Qualifications:
• Must speak Mandarin
• Parents are from Taiwan
• Have a sense of humor
• Must be available for any media events/interviews and also be available for the parade 12/31/10 and most of 1/1/11
• If interested, please send email ASAP directly to info@ladragonboat.com with name, team name (Space Dragons) and photo in JPEG format

If you have Sunday afternoon free and any inclination to come listen, please come down to OCPAC and check out our “Mystic Song” concert.  The main work is the Schmitt Psalm 47, which is a very dramatic classical choral/orchestra/organ piece.  There’ll be plenty of tickets available at the door.  Go to this link for details.
