1.  PRACTICE

2.  POKER NIGHT – Sat Oct 27th

-   Sign up on the Evite, participation limited!

3.  FUNDRAISER @ THE ROSE BOWL – Sat Nov 24 & Tues Jan 1 

-   We are going to help sell concessions (sodas, hot dogs, burgers, etc.) during UCLA football games at the Rose Bowl.  We are working with another group to work either (or perhaps both) November 24 (v. Stanfud) and/or January 1 (the Rose Bowl Game).

-  We will need a minimum of ten (10) volunteers.  We're almost there, but need a few more people. A few more! Be one of the few more please!

-  We'll be manning a concession stand together - selling drinks, food, snacks, preparing burgers and hot dogs, manning the cash register. 

-  Interested? Email captains@spacedragons.org.  Anyone who has already responded will be receiving an email from the captains later this week with more details and to confirm participation, because we need to let the organizers know that we are definitely in.

5.  OLD CELL PHONE DONATIONS – From Step and AJ

We are collecting old cell phones for Hope Phones, which reuses and recycles old cell phones in any condition. They receive the value of each recycled phone to purchase supplies for Medic Mobile, a non-profit that has helped over 600k+ patients in 15 countries.

We are collecting your old phones for only a couple weeks longer, so if you have any please contact one or both of us and we can arrange a pickup or something. Thanks!

6.  END OF YEAR DEDUCTABLE DONATIONS

As we approach the end of the 2012 Tax year, it is time to think about donations to charities. I wanted to remind all Space Dragons that we are now a 501(c)3. What does that mean to you?

    * Donations of Equipment are tax deductible! (head-cams, digital media storage, tents, paddles, pfd's, ...)

    * Donations of CA$H are tax deductible! 

For those Space Dragons that regularly donate $$ to charities, think about making a donation to the team to help lower overall teams fees in the coming year. Contact captains for details on how to make such donations and get official receipts for your tax records!
