Friends and Family Day was YAY!

Thanks to all the friends and family that came out to join us on Friends and Family day this past Sunday. With a large showing of newbies, we had 31 new waivers and were able to take out 4 full boats equating to a total of 60 paddlers!!!

Joe says, "NO! We can't fit anymore!"

Friends and Family Day all started with John’s passionate explanation on the history of dragon boating.

With Em’s interactive tutorial lesson on paddling form and vets’ guidance, it was one close race on the water between the four boats.

Everyone did a wonderful job of picking up the sport in the span of an hour. We hope you come back to paddle, but if not, we appreciate your support from the cheering section ;)

Aside from the fun on the water, there were also plenty of activities off the water (Devant’s tightrope walking, frisbee, football...), and also some water time for some of our vets (namely Sammi, Dominic, Felicia).
