BREAKING NEWS: Good Deeds are not Unnoticed

On June 26, the Space Dragons went at it again, cleaning up our home beach. As you know, the team adopted Mother's Beach as our own and have been working hard ever since to keep the area spic-n-span.

Although it is not the reason we do this, it's always nice to hear a "thank you" and be appreciated for our efforts.

On behalf of the board, captains and coaches, we sincerely thank everyone who has helped out with beach clean-ups, especially Marina for helping set everything up. We'd also received this short note from the Southern California Dragon Boat Club (aka the "Association") and wanted to share it with the team.

Dear Pearl,

Please thank all of the Space Dragons membership for their community
involvement in adopting Mother's Beach. The beach clean ups you have been
doing have been noticed by other using the beach. I have been thanked by a
number of people for your efforts. It is this kind of effort that helps
our working relationship with both the city as well as the other groups using
the beach.

Mahalo nui,
Mike, Director SCDBC

Keep up the hard work, and we'll see you on the water! Big thanks to each and every one of you!
