Word of the week: Support! ... We have fundraisers, community service and paddlers in TRAINING in the next few weeks! Show your SD Spirit and support these efforts for a stronger community, a stronger TEAM.
1. Tempe, Tempe, TemPEEEE – 3/31
March 31st is one week closer!!! Time to take care of business:
· Carpooling: If you haven’t cleared up your transportation, now’s the time! Email captains if you need carpooling buddies.
· No Flake Date: Was Sun March 4th Make sure you pay your Tempe fees so we can make sure we have enough to register for Big LB EARLY!
Note: If you have already setup transportation and lodging and have space in your car and/or room, email the captains so we place our orphans!
2. Baby Long Beach – Sun 4/29
One day, local fun in the sun, sign up on the Evite!
3. PORTLAND
Come with us to the land of rivers, big fat dragon boats, VooDoo Donuts, and more Canadian Geese than you can shake a stick at. Oh, and the tasty beer! (for kiddies age 21 and older only)
We have a full boat of participants already, let's make it TWO!
June 9-10 is approaching fast, so sign up via Evite!
4. PRACTICE ATTENDANCE
· Attendance Poll: Accuracy here is VERY important as we ask for boats on a weekly basis based on the poll numbers. WE have been way off in both directions the last couple weeks!
· Attendance Sheet: It is YOUR responsibility to sign up on the attendance sheet. Since the attendance sheet is used for land drill attendance as well, if you skip the attendance sheet, you may miss being counted for land drills as well!!!
5. BEACH CLEANUP – Give back to the community! March 24
· Most successful community outreach we can do!!!
· Just 30 to 45 min of time
· Good for us, the greater DB community and public relations
· Make sure to bring your SD Bling! Wearing your SD Jersey will let everyone know who's keeping the beach clean!
6. BDR Earth Family Fun Run – Sun Apr 22
· What: Inaugural BDR Earth Day Family Fun Run to support the Brian D. Robertson Foundation!
