3. LAKE GREGORY – Sun Aug 19
- Still Juiced from BLB? Here you go! 11 Days!
- This is a fun ONE DAY local race and it’s coming up FAST! So sign up on the Evite if interested and SIGN UP NOW otherwise it’ll be too late! Oh noes!!
- In the past we have brought up 2 12-man crews, let’s see if we can do 2 18-man crews and genders!
- Fees low! ~$20 for 12 man crews, ~$15 for 18 man crews! More if we add genders, still very cost effective!
- We have interest from friendly teams to paddle with us! We will start accepting guest paddlers after the deadline!
- Deadline for Space Dragons to ensure a seat is TODAAAAAY!
4. SAN FRANCISCO - Sept 15 & 16
- 5 Weeks Away! So sign up on the Evite.
- Have you paid your low low low tournament Fees?! $30 + FOOD FEE
- Food Fee: We have calculated a separate away-team food fee of $5 being collected by Zina, pay her! Or she will hunt you down
- We have a block of rooms for our paddlers. It is highly recommended to stay with the team so you can partake in the Sunday night shenanigans that will surely take place.
- Hotel Room Registration - Book room by Wed 8/15 ... BEFORE we lose our block!
1. Find your roommates, decide who is going to put down credit card info.
2. The person booking the room will go to weblink in your email
3. Enter Access Code: spacedb12 (left side of the screen)
4. Complete all the booking details.
5. The website will let you add more people to the room at the time of booking, or at a later date. If the website says the room block is full, email captains@spacedragons.org and we'll get that fixed right away. Well, maybe not right away since we are also working stiffs with other life obligations too but we'll get to it as soon as possible. Which is even more reason not to wait until the last possible moment, in case we don't see your email and the deadline passes and then you're homeless for the weekend, which would kinda suck. For you. Yup.
5. LA DRAGON BOAT RACE STEERS – Sat 8/18
Step (SCDBC) is looking for full-time steers for the 250m races at Legg Lake on Sat Aug 18:
“I'm looking for a few full-time steers for the LA Dragon Boat race on
Saturday, August 18th and was wondering, since Space isn't paddling, if
you have anyone willing to go and steer. The races are from 9am - 3pm
at Legg Lake in the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El
Monte. We'll give you parking pass and a free tshirt :)”

There seems to be a demand for more seat cushions, so I'm placing another order for them on Monday morning, 8/13. Let me know by EOD Sunday, 8/12, if you or any of your teammates are interested in buying one.
