Space Dragons 2014! Part 3: Tournament Schedule

Pull out your calendar, because here is the Space Dragons 2014 tournament schedule!

March 22-23: Arizona Dragon Boat Festival at Tempe Town Lake, AZ
April 27: Long Beach Spring Race
June 7-8: HONG KONG DRAGON BOAT CARNIVAL
July 26-27: Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in Long Beach, CA
TBD: San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival in San Francisco, CA

For those of you on Spacebook and who have been chit chatting with your fellow paddlers, you know that recently there's been a little bit of discussion about whether we should go to Hong Kong to race Mixed + Space Ripple Open & Women or if we should pull together Premier Open and/or Premier Womens crews to compete at the 9th Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy.

Keep in mind, both Ravenna and Hong Kong offer a high level of international competition that will be a new and exciting experience for us, so really, it's a win-win decision.  I'll spare the blog of the gory details of the feedback received and discussions that took place, but in summary, the SD Board decided that the best path for us to take would be to stay the course and go to Hong Kong.  I am happy to share additional information, so please don't hesitate to talk to me or other Space Dragons leadership if you have any questions.
